The experience is quite different. Black delivers such a mix between the dark and the magical. The fantasy is superb, and the writing is charming and fantastic. You will fall in love with Roiben and you will find a best friend in Corny. It is part of a series so be sure to check out the other books (I have yet to do this myself). It's graphic and lush wording mixed into a beautiful fast-paced novel.
