A New Look

So, I've tried DOZENS of times to give Yay! Reads a more 'me' and personalized look. Make it less...taken-from-a-free-backgrounds-site. So I designed the header, inspired in one of my favorite places in the world, NYC. And I manipulated the Minima template and the colors to go with it. What do you think? Is it too dark?

Hopefully, I will be able to keep this one for a while, as I get tired easily. But it took a lot of work so I probably won't be changing it soon. Thank you and I hope you enjoy.

PS If the text/links are hard to read, let me know so I can make it more eye-friendly.

I like the header. It looks like a city... but it also looks like the spines of books, which is pretty appropriate for a book blog.

The text isn't particularly hard to read, and I think it looks good. The only thing I might look at changing would be the padding (so your text isn't right against the edges of all your posts and sidebars).

I like the new look! ...and no the colors are fine....bright enough for the dark background for certain. (Great job on the header! NYC would be proud!) =0)

Nice job on this new look! It looks so city-like. It reminds me of the song Empire State of Mind :P Hehe.

Anyway, the colours are just fine. They're not too dark, I like it. The header is really good, too! I agree with La Coccinelle about the buildings looking like books. That was creative :)

I'm loving this layout- it's really easy to read, easy to find things, and I love how the colors look together. I think you picked a winner!

Love the new look - I was going to say what La Coccinelle said, but she already said it.
