This is the second collection of books in the series. Holly has known she was a witch for barely a year and now, she faces even more challenges with the House of Deveraux and her love for Jer is even more intense as she discovers more connections about her and her ancestress.
This book was even more exciting than the last. The turns and twists are as unexpected as chocolate at the bottom of the sea. The feelings and emotions are so intense, it would have you traveling through a roller coaster. The conflicts enlarge and new magic is revealed. We see more flash-backs of both houses and some others.
In one sentence:
It was great!
You can definitely see the conflict inside of Holly, she's not the usual hero. She doesn't always do what's right and she sometimes goes to extreme measures to protect her coven. This loyalty and love is what keeps her sane. We see more evil from the House of Deveraux but we have hope of their humanity thanks to Jer, who has barely been healed by the Black Fire. This book is a must to read if you're an avid follower of the series. It's the best one yet and it won't disappoint.
